Archie Bray

Hi Everyone! I’m back from Montana. We had a good time visiting with my sister and her family. I also got to see Maureen White and we brainstormed about offering a workshop together.

We got to visit The Archie Bray Foundation and I saw art like never before. Here are some pictures I took:

I’m busy today trying to get moving in my studio again. It is hard to get in the groove after being out all those days.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and remembered to think about what they are grateful for.

Last Angel…for awhile

My family and I are taking a trip to Montana. That means I will be out of my studio for a WEEK!! I never go that long…But, I am going to try to enjoy the traveling, visiting and family time. Of course, I will pack a few small chunks of wood and some paper to work on if time permits…maybe in the evenings? All that to say, this is the last angel I will be offering for a little while.

I’ll try to get some good video footage and pictures to share while we’re out and about.

Snow Flower R2RD Challenge

The ebay doll makers group I am in called, Rags To Riches Dolls (R2RD), is having a Group Challenge! The theme is ”Twas The Night Before Christmas”. I am not so sure my doll fits the theme well…but it IS a Wintery dolly.

Mother, Mother

One of my sisters is a midwife and she was saying how I should start painting for birthing centers and midwifery schools. I liked the idea so I let it sit in my mind for awhile. Then, when I was just sitting in my car waiting for my children to get out of school, I closed my eyes and had this vision of a very fertile pregnant woman with babies all around her. I scribbled it down on the nearest paper and knew that the first chance I had to paint, I would give it a try.

This painting can be found at grittyjane.com.
