Hotel Masterpiece

My family and I are in Spokane, WA visiting relatives and looking for a house to move to. This morning I woke up before everyone and did this painting right in the hotel! I set up a little work area at the counter and got busy…It was quite peaceful and I was thankful for my early morning inspiration.

Collaging Fun

What fun it is to try new things…I incorporated some new techniques with some old and came up with these 3 paintings:

That’s My Boy!

We painted trees tonight. I felt so proud when I looked over at Jacob (6 yrs old)…I just had to take a short camera video of him…Look at his sweet little hand holding the paintbrush…and I must say, we will be framing that masterpiece!

PS:  Yes, he did it all by himself…I just told him the steps to take and he ran with it.

…12 hrs later…here it is framed…

Shabby Trios

24″ X 13″ X 1″ acrylic collage on wood

I had fun today finishing up these two collage paintings…even came up with the nifty idea of nailing fabric to the bottom of their dresses! I think it turned out pretty cool…

Maureen L. White of urbanpastures

Greetings all! One of the things I will be doing with my blog is featuring other artists to help encourage and promote their work. So today, I want to feature an exceptional Christian Folk Artist named Maureen L. White. Here are a few samples of her artwork:

These pieces are made from handcut pine and are painted with much care and detail. I am a big fan of her work and want as many people as possible to know about it. Check out her current ebay auctions HERE . She also just started blogging…So, stop by URBANPASTURES and give her a warm welcome to blogland.
