New Page On My Blog

If you look to your left you will see a new page has been added called Buy Art Direct From The Artist Here. I am going to give the ol’ selling art from my blog another try. Some paintings are just too special to take the ebay gamble on and I would prefer to avoid the fees associated with selling there if possible.

I LOVE the painting I added to the page today:

Crucified With Him: large mixed media painting on cupboard door

Visit the page or click om the image above for more photos and a description.

Folk Art Mary and Jesus Painting

This painting started out as an ink sketch.

I used layers of acrylic paint and ink to achieve a nice aged look. I am still having issues with hands and the amount of fingers they have. At one point when I was just about done, I realized that Mary’s hand that was on Jesus’ belly had five fingers and a thumb! You can still see traces of it here.

All in all, I like it.

If you are interested, you can find it on EBAY now.

In The Garden

Large cupboard door painting on ebay tonight.

I have to say, I have grown a bit attached to this piece. I try not to…but this has been in the corner of my bedroom for several weeks. She has been there when I go to sleep and when I wake up. The strange thing about living with art is, it seems to change from day to day. Each day I looked at it, I considered something new. Sometimes it made me not only realize something new within the painting, but new within myself.

Super Grungy Seated Pose Figure Painting

I’ve decided to sell this piece on ebay tonight. I have to offer something!! and although it is pretty stinkin cool,  it doesn’t quite go with my other show pieces.

It measures 18″X 24″X1.5″. Media includes: papers, ink,  and acrylic paint.

Titled: Still Waiting

There are many layers and details that do not show in these photos.

Ooo! Poppies!

I have done several variations of this landscape floral arrangement…this time it is with encaustic medium (beeswax and damar resin) and oil paint! What fun! Have a look-see at the yummy texture…
